How it works

Tempo: we stretch time with a phase vocoder with phase locking and, around clear hits (drums, plucks), we don't stretch anything: they stay tight and in place.
Pitch: we stretch and then change the speed, so the song keeps its length and sounds higher or lower. With a few semitones you barely notice it; with many, voices change their timbre.
Vinyl: it's what «sped up» and «slowed» versions do. Nothing gets stretched, which is why it sounds best.
Everything happens in your browser: your song isn't uploaded anywhere. Saving gives you a lossless WAV, limited to −1 dBTP so it doesn't clip.
Modify your own songs or ones you have permission for: changing the tempo or pitch doesn't give you rights over someone else's song.
